I'm listening to the testimony of Jun Lozada, the "star witness" of the anomalous ZTE deal on RMN.PH and it has played out like a movie. There were leading questions by Ping Lacson, and some laughs because of this, and now he's saying that he "fears losing his soul" if he doesn't speak up.
Atty. Miriam Defensor-Santiago is doing a bang up job in her questioning regarding his character. She has found numerous questionable transactions during his tenure as President of a Phil Forest office. She uncovered (and he admitted) that he actually rented his own land to the government office where he worked, and that he awarded numerous contacts to his brother's company (Gabriel Multimedia)...and now it's on to his buying goats for Php. 700,000.00 TO TEST WHETHER THEY WOULD EAT LOCAL GRASS. (Don't mind that goats will eat anything, even metal cans). Finally she's questioning him about the cars acquired for his use, some posters bearing his name (and his possible running for public office in Bicol), and now his role as middleman (or in his own words) "reconciler" of Abalos et al. ("Kung $65 million lang naman pala, pwede na sana.") He later admitted that due to his statement he would have been part of an illicit and illegal transaction under the Anti-Graft and Corruption Law but argued that he was not aware of this. (Ignorance of the law excuses no one bud.)

What struck me as awful is that when Miriam questioned him about these obvious anomalous acts as well, he calmly replied that "mas maliit naman po ito sa $130,000,000". Well buddy, theft is theft is theft.
